What is a catch-all
address?
As the name says, a catch-all address is
meant to catch all email sent to any non-existing email accounts on your
domain.
It can be useful to catch emails that
were mistakenly sent to an address that doesn't exist. For example, if the
sender made a spelling mistake and typed in "daivd@domain.com" instead
of "david@domain.com".
Unfortunately, most mails that you catch
will be spam. If you decide to use the catch-all feature, we recommend that you
create a separate account for this on your own domain, and periodically check
if you have caught any emails that you want to keep.
Set up a catch-all
address
- Log in to the cloudresolve.net
control panel.
- Click on the Email tile
to open Mail Administration.
- Click on the Aliases tab,
in the menu bar near the top of the screen.
- Type in the email address
that should become your catch-all address and click Verify.
From now on every email that is sent to a
non-existing address on your domain will be delivered to your catch-all
address.
